Seth Mitchell, 35, was placed on five years of probation after pleading guilty to three counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell as well as one count each of operating under suspension and failure to appear in court.
According to statements made in court, the plea deal was contingent on continued positive reports from the drug treatment program that Mitchell attended. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Mitchell will also have to undergo STD testing.
Officers from the Special Services Unit of the Norwalk Police Department began investigating Mitchell in late January after receiving a tip that a male prostitute on Craigslist was also selling drugs, court documents show. Investigators obtained three warrants and arrested Mitchell on March 19, in the area of 16 School St. When Mitchell was arrested, he had a small amount of marijuana on him, police said.
